you raise me up
In the oscars (at least I think it's the oscars) those winners make speeches (or so I've heard). 'I want to thank my father, my mother, my brother, my sister, my cat etc...'but do these people know what they mean? or is it just for show?my parents have done so much for me. they actually RAISED ME UP. I love them so much! even though at times they can be so... (!!!!!). anyway, so I sent my dad this song: You Raise Me Up Lyrics
by Josh Groban
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be. (x2)
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be. (x2)
